Connolly Healthcare’s Recovery Audit Summit was held on March 2-4 at the Don CeSar Beach Resort & Spa in St. Pete Beach, FL, and was attended by 30 Connolly Healthcare clients and prospects representing 15 health plans and payers. The Summit agenda included presentations from healthcare industry analysts Carl McDonald of Oppenheimer and Dr. Peter Kongstvedt, who provided insight into the future of healthcare insurance and managed care.

Additional session topics included ICD-10 conversion, Email Auditing, and National Trends in Data Mining and Recovery Auditing. A DRG Audit Training session demonstrated some successful audit techniques to help Connolly Healthcare’s clients maximize their DRG audits. A panel discussion including several Connolly clients provided perspective on the most pressing issues faced by these organizations as they execute recovery audits. Finally, an overview of the groundbreaking Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Recovery Audit Contractor (RAC) pilot program that led to a national rollout was presented.
